Piano Day 2020

After receiving so much interest from fellow piano lovers, for our Piano-thon lasting 12 hours for Piano Day 2019, we have decided to celebrate this special day again.

We will be asking performers to start signing up from the end of November 2019 and audience tickets will be available from the beginning of January 2020.

What is Piano Day?
Piano Day, is an international event that takes place on the 88th day of the year – because of the 88 keys on the piano.
“Why does the world need a Piano Day? For many reasons. But mostly, because it doesn’t hurt to celebrate the piano and everything around it: performers, composers, piano builders, tuners, movers and most important, the listener.”
– Nils Frahm

Piano day - 2019
We asked piano enthusiasts to come and celebrate Piano Day with us when our Steinway Concert Grand Piano will be played non-stop for 12 hours. There will be great music, snacks, beverages and an amazing vibe filled with fellow music lovers.

Reflections in a piano.jpg

We had a great mix of professional and amateur pianists performing various different genres of music throughout the day from classical to popular to jazz.

We were truly amazed at the overwhelming interest, for Piano Day 2019 at Shoreditch Treehouse with our performance slots filling up within two weeks of being advertised. It was inspiring to have over 70 pianists ranging from the ages of 10 to 80 years old playing our beautiful Steinway Grand Piano!

At Shoreditch Treehouse we see Piano Day as a great opportunity to celebrate the piano and also raise money for a charity that is very close to our hearts, Help Musicians UK (HMUK). HMUK is the leading UK charity for professional musicians of all genres, from starting out through to retirement. They help at times of crisis, but also at times of opportunity, giving people the extra support they need at a crucial stage that could make or break their career.
